Imerovigli

Imerovigli owes its name to the days when pirate ships sailed the Aegean, deriving from the words vigilare, meaning to guard in Latin and imera, the day in Greek. Seated at the highest part of the caldera, it commands the horizon offering spectacular sea and sunset vistas. A stroll here is a must, as well as a visit to the Skaros Rock and the Church of Panagia Malteza.
