TOMATO INDUSTRIAL MUSEUM

Located on the scenic beach of Vlychada, the Tomato Industrial Museum “D. Nomikos” preserves the memory of Santorini’s thriving agricultural past through its legendary cherry tomato. Housed in the beautifully restored tomato factory of the Nomikos family—pioneers in tomato processing since 1915—the museum brings the island’s industrial heritage to life. Visitors can experience the fascinating journey of tomato production, from seed to can, through interactive audio guides, augmented reality, historic machinery, and the personal stories of former workers.

Today, the site is much more than a historical monument; it operates as a multifunctional cultural venue through the Santorini Arts Factory. The space regularly hosts art exhibitions, concerts, educational programs, and culinary workshops. After their tour, guests are invited to relax with a refreshing Bloody Mary or a signature tomato tasting dish at the museum’s bar, and explore the shop for unique design items and handmade local products.
