MUSEUM KOUTSOGIANNOPOULOS

Beneath the sun-drenched cliffs of Santorini, the Koutsogiannopoulos Wine Museum lies hidden as an extraordinary 300-meter-long cave, located eight meters underground. Built with dedication over 30 years by the Koutsogiannopoulos family—fifth-generation winemakers—this underground labyrinth showcases four centuries of the island’s winemaking history, revealing the artistry and perseverance of local winegrowers since the 1600s.

Visitors journey through time discovering authentic winemaking tools and rare machinery, enjoying a fully immersive experience with audio guides available in 14 languages. At the end of the tour, guests are invited to a wine-tasting experience featuring exclusive wines produced at the family’s own winery. Sourced from their privately owned vineyards, these wines beautifully reflect Santorini’s unique volcanic terroir and rich Cycladic heritage.
