If you’re traveling from other parts of the world, you’ll likely connect through Athens, Greece’s capital, which has frequent short flights to Santorini year-round. Getting
around the island

Transportation

Getting around Santorini using public transport is both convenient and affordable. The island is served by a reliable bus network operated by KTEL, with buses running regularly between major towns like Fira, Oia, Kamari, and Perissa. Fira, the island’s central hub, is where most bus routes start and end, making it easy to transfer to different parts of the island. During peak season, buses run more frequently, approximately every 30 minutes to an hour, and schedules are often posted at bus stops or available online. The buses are modern, air-conditioned, and inexpensive, with fares typically ranging from €1.80 to €2.50 depending on the route.
