The island’s dramatic volcanic landscape, including the famous caldera formed by a massive eruption around 1600 BC, shapes its distinct charm, with settlements perched on the crater’s edge and subterranean rockhewn houses. Since 1980, Santorini, particularly Oia, has become a popular destination for weddings and honeymoons, hosting over 500 ceremonies annually.
